Pinterest can publish several renditions of the same clip. PinClip checks the media that belongs to the requested Pin and prepares the strongest compatible result it can verify.
Automatic quality selection
PinClip ranks the video variants Pinterest exposes and selects the best compatible candidate automatically. The result card shows the detected pixel dimensions when Pinterest provides them. A 1080p or 4K label is only possible when that resolution exists at the source; PinClip never upscales a smaller clip.
Direct MP4 when available
Most video Pins expose an MP4 file. PinClip streams that original Pinterest-hosted file through a signed download URL without adding a logo or recompressing the video. That preserves the source picture, frame rate, and audio track instead of creating a lower-quality copy.
HLS converted into a usable MP4
Some Pins expose only an HLS playlist rather than one downloadable file. On those results, PinClip remuxes the existing video and audio streams into MP4 without re-encoding. HLS preparation can take longer, but the finished download works like a normal video file.
Preview before saving
Compatible MP4 results open in a same-page preview so you can confirm the Pin before transferring the full file. If a browser cannot play the preview codec, the download may still work. Direct MP4 transfers also support standard byte ranges, which helps compatible browsers resume an interrupted download.
Save Pinterest videos on any device

iPhone and iPad

Why a Pinterest video may not download
Most failures come from the submitted URL or Pinterest access conditions rather than the file type on your device.
The link opens a board, search page, or private Pin
Copy the URL from the individual Pin detail page. PinClip does not sign in to Pinterest, expand an entire board, or bypass private and secret-board access controls.
The Pin contains an image instead of a video
PinClip detects the actual media Pinterest exposes. An image-only Pin returns an image result even if the surrounding Pinterest page includes unrelated video recommendations.
Pinterest is temporarily limiting requests
A public Pin can fail while Pinterest is rate-limiting automated requests or serving a regional access page. Wait briefly and retry the same direct Pin URL rather than repeatedly submitting different shortened links.
Frequently asked questions
Can PinClip download 1080p or 4K Pinterest videos?
PinClip selects the highest-quality rendition Pinterest publicly exposes for that Pin. That can be 1080p or 4K when the original upload and Pinterest delivery include those resolutions; PinClip cannot create detail that is not in the source.
Does PinClip add a watermark?
No. PinClip does not overlay a logo or re-encode ordinary MP4 files. It relays the Pinterest-hosted media; HLS-only streams are remuxed into MP4 for compatibility.
Does it work on iPhone and Android?

No. This page accepts one public Pin at a time. Board and profile downloads require bounded collection processing, rate controls, and packaging that PinClip does not currently offer.
