How Pinterest image downloads work
A Pin page can contain several image sizes, formats, and recommended thumbnails. PinClip restricts extraction to the requested Pin and chooses the strongest image candidate it can identify.
Highest available image size
PinClip prefers the original or largest image URL exposed in Pinterest's public Pin data. It does not enlarge a 736-pixel image into a fake original. When Pinterest keeps the upload private or serves only a resized asset, the largest public version is the honest maximum.
JPG, PNG, WebP, and GIF sources
Pinterest may serve photographs as JPEG, illustrations as PNG, optimized assets as WebP, or an actual animated image as GIF. PinClip preserves the source format and file bytes it receives instead of converting everything into JPEG or taking a browser screenshot.
Every detected carousel image
For a public multi-image Pin, the result card displays the detected images in carousel order. You can save one item or start all available downloads. Each control uses the specific source URL associated with that carousel position rather than the visible grid thumbnail.
No added compression or overlays
PinClip does not resize, recompress, crop, or place branding on image downloads. The visual quality therefore depends on the file Pinterest publicly exposes. Existing creator marks remain part of the source image; PinClip simply does not add another watermark.
Download Pinterest images on phone or desktop
Use the individual Pin link on every device. Search-result, board, and profile URLs do not identify one reliable image set.
iPhone and iPad
Copy the Pin link, paste it in Safari, and download the original. Safari usually places the file in Files → Downloads. Open the image and use Share → Save Image when you want a copy in the Photos library.
Android phones
Paste the Pin or pin.it link in Chrome and choose Download original. The file normally appears in Downloads and can then be opened, shared, or moved with the Files app. Multi-image Pins may trigger a browser permission prompt.
Windows and macOS
Use the address of the individual Pin, inspect the preview, and save the original image. For a carousel, choose individual items or Download all. Your browser's download history shows the destination and any blocked files.
Fix common Pinterest image download problems
The result depends on what Pinterest exposes for the exact public Pin and what the browser permits the page to save.
Only one carousel image downloads
Allow multiple downloads when the browser asks, then try Download all again. If only one image appears in the result card, Pinterest may not have exposed the remaining carousel pages in the public data returned for that Pin.
The result is a video rather than an image
Some Pins use a video as their primary media and only expose a poster image as a thumbnail. PinClip follows the primary Pin media so it does not accidentally return an unrelated recommendation or a lower-quality poster as the main file.
The image looks smaller than expected
Pinterest does not always expose the uploader's original file. PinClip selects the largest verified public candidate but cannot recover pixels that are missing from Pinterest's delivered asset or remove compression already applied upstream.

Does PinClip download the original Pinterest image?

Yes, when Pinterest exposes the carousel pages in the public Pin data. PinClip shows each detected image and provides both individual controls and a Download all action.
Will an image have a PinClip watermark?
No. PinClip does not add logos, overlays, or watermarks to downloaded images.
Can I download a whole Pinterest board?
Not yet. This tool accepts individual public Pin links. Board and profile downloads need a separate bounded batch product with ZIP packaging and are not currently claimed as supported.
